Once you have chosen an pair we then arrange a telephone interview, please don’t call the girl without knowing the times and day in their country.

Do be aware that it is hard to speak another language on the telephone and once your au pair arrives it is easier to speak to you face to face and they do come on quickly when they start to talk to you and your family.

Questions To Ask Au Pair On The Telephone Interview

Here are some questions you must ask ;

1. What date does she/he want to come to the UK? Are they coming by plane/train/bus?


2. Tell them the airport they must come to.


3. Ask the exact date when they are wanting to go back to their country.


4. Ask if they definitely do not smoke.


5. Ask if they will want to socialise with friends, will they be independent.


6. 
   
   If you are wanting a driver ask if she will be happy to drive in the UK


7. Tell them about the nearest college  &  fees & if you are helping them with the college fees or not.


8. Explain the area where you live, tell them about the nearest cities, beaches etc


9. Tell them about their bedroom and also the hours they will be working.


10. Tell them about your children and what they like


11. Try and explain the duties or put them down in a separate e mail


12. 
    
    Ask if your au pair is going home at any time for a holiday ie Christmas
